Re: being depressed, woke up today with a friend to pick up and gig to go to, feeling refreshed and ready for the adventure. I think having something to (somewhere to go...) do helped. It is true that it has been a sad week in the media. Many people die daily, but it was surprising to hear of two deaths of such famous people on the same day (Farah Fawcett and Michael Jackson). My hope and prayer is that everyone who dies is on to something better!! It is probably hardest for the friends and family left behind. :( gosh, I remember watching the movie about MJ and his family when I was a kid...and crying my little heart out when the pet mouse died! That part made me so freaking sad!!
Today was a little strange...I only played three or four songs (at Scarlett O' Hara's) before a very loud "POP" resounded. It startled us mid-discussion. We wondered....what was that "a canon"... "a car"???? Turns out it was the "transformer"- it blew! So.....no more electricity, no more gig. Poor Scarlett O' Hara's basically had to gradually shut down, at least for the afternoon. Still, I had a very wonderful time socializing.
Tomorrow = chemo 10. Getting sooooooo close! Tonight= a movie, hydration, and sweet slumber!
xoxo.
